Obituary of Murray Shiell
At Wingham & District Hospital on Tuesday, July 4, 2023, Murray Shiell of Belgrave, passed away peacefully at the age of 84.
Beloved husband of Barb Shiell of Belgrave. Devoted dad of Pat & Jamie Hackett of Point Clark, Cathy & Mike Pletch of Kitchener, Heather Shiell of Belgrave and Brad Shiell & Pete O’Hehir of Sydney, Australia. Loving grandpa of Brett Hackett (Amanda), Chad Hackett (Rebecca), Cole Hackett, Nicole Pletch (Brett) and Jenna Pletch (Danilo) and great-grandpa of Julia and Owen. Cherished brother of Doris Stephens and Marilyn Shiell both of London and brother-in-law of Jim Bradley of Goderich.
Predeceased by his parents Charles & Pearl (Congram) Shiell, brother Jack Shiell (Bonnie) and brother-in-law Jack Stephens.
Visitation will be held at McBurney Funeral Home, Wingham on Thursday, July 6th from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel, on Friday, July 7th, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will take place at Brandon Cemetery, Belgrave.
The funeral will be live-streamed and a link available on our website.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Belgrave Arena Board or the Wingham & District Hospital Foundation or would be appreciated.
