Mona Louise Owens (nee Guise)
June 22, 1928 – March 19, 2023
Our beautiful Mom has finished her earth walk and joined her beloved heavenly angels.
Mona passed away peacefully at Winbourne LTC in Ajax on Sunday, March 19, 2023 at the age of 94. Mona was a loving wife to Denis (d. 2007), amazing mother to Cathy, Karen and Greg, mother-in-law to Jim, Mark and Megan and grandmother to Shealin, Lauren, Caleigh, Jacob, Griffin and Austin. Mona is survived by her siblings Jacquie Rudd and Frank Guise of Vancouver and Bill Guise of Kent, Washington. Predeceased by her sister Shirley Stevenson of Vancouver.
Mona enjoyed an accomplished career at Consumer’s Gas (Enbridge) in Toronto and C.A. Smith Contracting in Markham. She was a devout Catholic and member of St. Isaac Jogues Catholic Church in Pickering.
Mona inspired everyone who knew her to become a better person. She was simply extraordinary.
As per Mona’s wishes, her life will be celebrated at a Catholic Mass:
