It is with great sadness that the family of Minnie (Hazel) Nishizaki announce her passing on Thursday February 23rd, 2023. Fondly referred to as, “Mum”, “Grams”, “Min”, and “Auntie Min”, she will be forever remembered by her daughter, Tracy; granddaughters, Lindsay (Jordan) and Lauren; sisters, Florence and Rose (the late Frank); Sister-in-law, Shirley (the late Ted); and nieces and nephews, Valerie (John), Tammie, Tara, Tesha, Tiffany (Mike), Hennley, and Ronin. They will miss her warm heart and stern yet playful spirit. Minnie was predeceased by her husband, Roy, and daughter, Catherine, who will have eternity trying to get her to sit down. Minnie was a long-time employee of Western Equipment and member at Park Street United Church and St. Andrew’s Church. The family would also like to extend their deepest gratitude to Dr. Dixon and the kind staff at Riverview Gardens for taking such good care of her. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Friends planning an expression of remembrance are asked to consider the Alzheimer Society of Chatham-Kent or St. Andrew’s Church.
