It is with great sorrow we announce the sudden passing of “Mindy Moo” of Winnipeg on January 2, 2023.
Mindy is predeceased by her maternal grandparents, Marie Ross and Morris Williams, her paternal grandfather Baptiste Bigblood, father William Land, uncles Harold, Don, Dave Ross, Ivan and Roger Bigblood, aunt Grace Land-Paishk, cousins Eric Bigblood, Lonny and Matthew Paishk and niece Delaine Copenace.
Mindy is leaving behind her one and only son “Matt-Ryan Adam Gage Duck (Breanna)”, her mother Corrine Land, kokum Harriet Land-Bigblood, siblings William Adam Ross, Hugh Ross (Traci), Adrian Land (Zena), Anida Ross (Eric), aunts Elaine, Marie, Beverley and Marion, uncles Conrad and Barry, nieces Darian, Lori (Ethan), Dayna (Ian), Mia, Ziigwan, nephews Adam, Sabastian, Marshall, Adrian the 2nd, Cordell, Ryder, great nephews Aires and Cassius and great nieces Lorrella, Camila, Raine and Lovely.
She will be greatly missed by many of her cousins, aunts, uncles, extended family members and especially by all her friends way too many to mention.
Mindy was born in Kenora on September 6, 1981, being the youngest of 5 children, the baby of the family. Mindy grew up in the city of Winnipeg since she was a toddler and has since always called Winnipeg home.
She always went out of her way for the people she loved, to make you smile or laugh, she loved taking care of everyone around her, especially her friends and their babies the best she could, a loyal and true friend always.

Pallbearers: Conrad Ross, Ian Cheesequay, Freddy Duck.
Honorary Pallbearers: Jacqueline Stortz, Stacey Bigblood, Amanda Freeman and Joelle Roy.
Traditional wake services will be held on Saturday and Sunday, January 21 & 22, 2023 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. A Traditional funeral ceremony will be conducted by Mide’Kiwenzie of Ki’eshgitabaaning and his helpers on Monday, January 23, 2023 at 11:00 am at the Aboriginal Funeral Chapel, 724 Selkirk Avenue, Winnipeg.
The family of Mindy would like to express our sincere thanks to the Wabaseemoong Chief & Council and WCWA, Vanessa & Clint Beadle, Darlene Comegan, Grace Ross, Darryl Contois and the Thunderbird House and the Aboriginal Funeral Chapel for their support during this difficult time.
