It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our
beloved mother Mildred (nee Rose) Loveless on June 29,
2023.
Predeceased by father Timothy Rose and mother Margaret (nee
Kehoe) Rose; husband Fred Loveless and daughter Shirley (nee Loveless)
Bridger; sister Nell and brothers Bill and Jim.
Leaving to mourn Fred (Daphney), Doug (Lynn ), Marie (Glenn),
Sharon (Ray), Ken, Barbara (Ken), Boyd (Darlene), Kimberley, Wils,
Debbie ,18 grandchildren, 26 great- grandchildren and a large circle
of relatives and friends.
Mildred worked tirelessly for others as was indicated by her
dedication and lifelong membership to the local Dunville Lions Club,
her work through the Hospital Auxiliary or her many years of service
with the United Church Women. She often called upon her own children
when raising money for one cause or another. Whether that was to
donate to the “Carol Sing” for the hospital or raising money
for the church.
Mildred enjoyed ‘a scoff and a scuff’ and
would often have a little scuff in the kitchen when a good
Newfoundland Waltz played on the radio. She enjoyed a drive and
finding a good ice cream parlour. A good fire wasn’t turned
down or a game of Yahtzee but her favourite time was spending it with
family.
Mildred was also known for her exceptional knitting skills
and there are few family members who have not received a pair of
trigger- finger mitts or a pair of vamps.
Funeral arrangements entrusted to Maher’s Funeral Home,
Placentia. Visitation to take place on Friday from 6pm to
8pm, and Saturday from 2pm to 5pm & 7pm to
9pm.
Funeral Service to take place at the Grace United Church,
Dunville on at 2pm on Sunday, July 2, 2023. Interment to follow at
Grace United Church Cemetery, Dunville.
Flowers gratefully accepted or donations can be made to Grace
United Memorial Fund.
