Michael Daniel Murphy, 56, of New Waterford passed away suddenly at home on April 13, 2023.
Born in New Waterford, he was a son of Jean (MacLellan) Murphy and the late John Cecil Murphy.
Michael was well known as a mechanic and always offering a helpful hand. Michael was a good father to his four children and was looking forward to the arrival of his first grandson, Arlo. He enjoyed life and was a happy person.
He is survived by his mother Jean Murphy. Daughters Shanelle and Stephanie, sons Daniel and Keegan. Sisters Millie, Cecilia, Joanne, Kim, and Diane. Brother and best friend Cecil. Special friends Kathy, Francis, and Sherry. His partner Bobby Chordis. He will be missed by his many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
He was predeceased by his father John Cecil Murphy and sister, Jenny.
Cremation has taken place under the care and di4rection of VJ McGillivray Funeral Home, 380 Smith Street, New Waterford, where visiting will take place on Thursday from 11:00 am until service time at 1:00 pm., Fr Godwin Obike will preside at the service and burial will follow in union Grove Cemetery, a reception will follow at the Army, Navy and Air Force Hall, Smith Street, New Waterford.
Donations can be made to the heart and stroke foundation in memory of Michael.
