A Celebration of Life will be held at the Elks Hall in Leslieville, Alberta on Saturday, June 17, 2023 at 1:00 PM this will be held in conjunction with a celebration of life for his mother Judy May Cochrane.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the SPCA where Mike would often spend his free time making sure every dog felt loved.

Michael Douglas Cochrane
May 30, 1974 – December 3, 2022
It is with heavy hearts we announce the sudden passing of Michael Douglas Cochrane. Mike passed away on December 3, 2022, at the age of 48.
In this sudden loss, we remember Mike’s kind heart, his ability to always see the good in people and the never-ending love he had for his family, friends, animals, and sports.
Mike’s love for sports began in high school where he played football, winning trophies with his team and making memories that would last a lifetime. Mike was also an avid Oiler’s fan, even recruiting some family members with his love for the team.
Growing up on the farm, Mike developed a deep love for animals that was shown through the bond he had with fur-baby Jersey.
Mike also had the opportunity to show his cousins from the city that the best times were spent getting down and dirty on the farm, creating more life-long memories when they came to visit.
Mike will be loved and missed by many. He had two very special, important girls that took up a lot of his heart and world – his granddaughters Macie and Aubree. They will forever love and miss their Papa.
Mike is survived by his wife Deena; daughters Jade and Jenysa (Ben); granddaughters Macie and Aubree; his parents Everette and Judy; sister Lisa (Kent); nephews Jesse and Justin; niece Jocelyn; great niece Violet as well as many other friends, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Mike is now at peace and back with our creator and the many friends and family that have passed before him. We have comfort in knowing that Mike is reunited with his son Kenneth and fur-baby, Jersey.
Mike’s love and memory will forever be in our hearts throughout the rest of our lives.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date, in the spring of 2023.
