FRIEDMAN, Menachem, October 20, 1942 – January 19, 2023.
It is with deep sorrow that the family announces the passing of Menachem Friedman. Loving husband of Ora Friedman, father to Airan Asher Friedman, and grandfather to Talya Lea Friedman and Daniella Naomi Friedman. Sadly passed away on January 19, 2023. Menachem lived life to its fullest and he defined joie de vivre. His many passionate hobbies included waterskiing, exercise, backgammon, and travel. He was one of the best backgammon players in North America and at one point was 5th best. He is still ranked #45 on the all time ABT list even to this day, which is an amazing statistic given that he hasn’t played for 10 years. He also ran a successful heating and air conditioning business which eventually was sold to Lenox International, his crowning business achievement in life. Most importantly, he was an amazing husband to Ora and father to Airan. He was an amazing grandpa also to Talya and Daniella. He will be sadly missed by the entire family. May his memory be a blessing. A graveside service will be held on Sunday, January 22nd at 10:30 a.m. in the Beth Emeth Bais Yehuda Synagogue section of Pardes Shalom Cemetery, 10953 Dufferin Street, Vaughan (north of Major MacKenzie).
