MAZUR, Sylvia Margaret (née Callaghan)

At the age of 81, Sylvia Mazur passed away in her sleep while at home, on January 10, 2023, in Kelowna, BC. She goes to join those who have taken this journey before her: her husband, Stanley Mazur; her son Jerry Mazur; and her brother Billy Callaghan. She will be missed deeply by her surviving family: her daughter Trudy (Mitch) McDonald; her grandchildren Olivia, Madelyn, Mike, & Matt McDonald, and Micah & Brodie Mazur (along with their mother, Shelley Lynn Mazur); as well as five great-granddaughters. She will also be remembered by her sister Connie Iness (and niece Lesley (Steven) Plant, and great-nephew Evan, of Calgary, AB) (and niece Kerry Iness, and great-nephew Lukas, of Kelowna, BC); and sister Karen (Ray) Nagel of Comox, BC (and nephew Ryan & his family, of Edmonton, AB).
Sylvia enjoyed her career as a nurse. She started in Vancouver, BC and then continued her work at Kelowna General Hospital. She enjoyed being with friends, shopping, going for coffee, and travel. She adored Hawaii so much that her cremated remains will be scattered there at a later date.
While no formal service will be held for Sylvia, she will be fondly remembered by family, friends, and the people she worked with.
