Maxine Elizabeth Reid of Hanover passed away Sunday, September 10, 2023, at South Bruce Grey Health Centre, Walkerton, in her 91st year. Beloved mother of Janice Daize of Durham and Jayme (Laura) of Tiverton. Grandma of Britt and Will. She will be dearly missed by her sister Hilda Leader of Abbotsford, brother Morley (Marjorie) Tanner of Hanover, and remembered by her sisters-in-law Leona and Barbara Reid, both of Guelph, and many nieces and nephews.
Maxine is predeceased by her husband Gordon, brothers-in-law Cecil Leader, Melville Reid, Howard (Laura) Reid, George Reid, Albert (Margaret (1980), Mina (2004)) Reid, Lawrence Reid (in infancy), sister-in-law Carrie (Eric) Harris, and her parents Harry and Lottie Tanner.
Friends and relatives are invited for visitation from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 17, 2023, at Cameron’s in Walkerton. Visitation will also be held from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, September 18, 2023, at Cameron’s in Walkerton. A livestream of the service will be available from Maxine’s memorial page. Interment in Tiverton Cemetery. Reception to follow at the Whitney Crawford Community Centre, Tiverton.
