Maurice Allan Barr passed away June 24th, 2023, at the age of 80 years at Kingston Health Sciences Centre. With family by his side. Just 3 weeks shy of his 81st birthday. Survived by his Loving wife Faye (Stoness) of 62 and a half years. Dear father of Joanne, Paul and Karrie, Grandfather of Adam, Jared and Mallorie. Great grandfather of Sawyer and Rosie. Dear brother of Donna Forbes (Bob – deceased), Don and Marg Barr. Predeceased by brother Arthur and sister June Compton. Dear bother in- law to Vesta Compton and Bruce and Lynda Stoness. Maurice will be deeply missed by many nieces, nephews, and friends near and far. Maurice founded and ran M.A. Barr Service Station Maintenance for 33 years. He was an avid fisherman and hunter. He trained and raced standardbreds at various tracks in Ontario and upper New York state. In his retirement, he took great pleasure in woodworking, creating many unique and useful items for family and friends. As per Maurice’s wishes a private graveside service will be held. Despite Maurice’s wishes a Celebration of life will tale place later this summer.
