Peacefully on Wednesday February 8, 2023 Maureen Wood at the age of 78. Dwain Sheldrick, her devoted husband of 43 years was by her side. Loving mother of Marcia Wood (Kris) and the late David. Proud grandmother of Griffen, Jeffrey, Camryn-Alia, Christian and great grandmother of Joseph. Dear sister of David and the late Brenda, Douglas, Roy and Alan. Maureen will be greatly missed by cousins, nieces, nephews and family in both England and Canada. A memorial service will be held in the spring.
Maureen who was born and raised in Padiham England, moved to Canada with her young family in 1967. Once settled in Ottawa she worked until retirement at Tubman Motors Bank St. Maureen spent her golden years enjoying time with family, and summertime dips in her pool. Baking was a special talent, especially Christmas cake. Maureen and Dwain, both green thumbs, created an exquisite garden together. Condolences may be left at www.daleyffh.ca
