VANHAVERBEKE, Marylin Theresa Ann (Coderre) (July 26, 1940 – February 13, 2023) –
It is with sadness that we the family announce the peaceful passing of our much loved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend, Marylin Theresa Ann (Coderre) Vanhaverbeke, at the age of 82. Marylin will be remembered for her love of gardening, spending time outdoors and birds, especially hummingbirds. She was always very supportive and close of her grandchildren and great grandchildren, whom affectionately referred to her as “gigi”. Marylin was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, Tillsonburg. She was predeceased by her husband of 63 years, Erik Vanhaverbeke (July 27, 2022). Always a caring mother to Brad VanHaverbeke, of Langton (Lesley Clarke); proud gigi to Larissa, Josh, Kyle and Dustin; and special great-gigi to Aleah, Taylor, and Kaylee. Survived by her brother Lawrence (wife Linda) Coderre, by two sisters-in-law Mary (husband Walter) and Edna, as well as by several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Predeceased by two sons Leon (2008), Greg (1984), by her parents Herman (1992) and Jean Coderre (2011), by 8 siblings: Leo, Phil, Gerald, Bobby, Shirley, Roddy, Chick, Jackie, as well as by 3 in-laws: Lianna, Willmert, and Ozzie.
In keeping with Marylin’s expressed wishes, cremation has taken place. A private family graveside service will be held in the Sacred Heart Cemetery, Langton in spring/summer 2023, by Brother Michael Herbus. Friends, neighbours, and relatives are invited to offer support by sharing favourite memories, photos, letters of condolence or by contributing memorial donations to the “Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario” via Marylin’s online tribute page at www.verhoevefuneralhomes.com or by contacting the Maurice J.
