Konning, Mary “Leda” Konning – Enfield/River Bourgeois
Aged 98 passed away on Sunday, January 29th at the Halifax Infirmary on a beautiful Sunday morning with her granddaughters by her side. She lived most of her life in River Bourgeois but spent the last twenty years in Enfield with her daughter Elizabeth, her son-in-law Pat and their children, Christopher, Eric, and Michael. She is also survived by her son David, his wife Kathie, and their children Anthony (Michelle) and Claire; her son Andrew, his wife Debbie, and their children Kenneth (Rebecca) and Jason (Cadence); her daughter-in-law Cheryl and her children Lauren and Meaghan; and her sister Catherine. She was pre-deceased by her husband Anthony, her sons Patrick and Bernard, her brother Alfred, and her sister Amelda. She was a member of the River Bourgeois CWL for over 50 years.
Thank you to the Colchester East Hants VON Home Support workers who have helped care for her over the past several years.
A funeral mass will take place at 11am on Friday February 3rd in St. John the Baptist Church in River Bourgeois. A reception will be held at the Tara Lynn Community Centre after the funeral. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Red Cross to support their loan equipment program or a charity of your choice.
