It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mary Violet LeBlanc of Arichat that occurred at St. Martha’s Regional Hospital in Antigonish on February 11, 2023, at the age of 85 years.
Born December 31, 1937, in West Arichat, she was the daughter of the late Leo and Jeanette (Paupin) Meunier.
Violet is survived by her daughter, Lynn Delorey (Wayne Robson), Arichat; son, Stan LeBlanc (Linda), Petit de Grat; grandchildren, Tanya, Robert, Christopher, Dylan, Shyloe and Dustin; great-grandchildren, Christian, Cora Lynn, Corrine, Tiara, Talon, Mikayla, Riley, and Oaklyn; great-great grandson, Levi; sisters, Helen McLaren (Jim), Antigonish and Linda Martell, Petit de Grat; also surviving is her extended family Janine and Stewart. Violet will also be sadly missed by her best friends, Coline LeBlanc, Jean Boudreau, and Patty Landry.
She was predeceased by her first husband, Alfred LeBlanc; daughter Paulette Johnston; partner Charlie Deveau; sister Evangeline Babin.
Cremation has taken place No visitation per request. A Memorial Service to celebrate the life of Violet will be held at a later date in Our Lady of Assumption Church, in Arichat.
