Mary Rose d’Entremont, age 92 of Pont du Marais
Boarding Home, Lower West Pubnico died January 30, 2023 in Yarmouth
Regional Hospital. Born in Middle West Pubnico, she was a
daughter of the late Jean Elois and Olive Evangeline (d’Eon)
d’Entremont. Mary Rose retired after working 20
years at WS Fisheries in the salt fish division. She is
survived by her daughter Sandy (Carl) Harris, Middle West Pubnico,
brother; Richard ‘Shorty’ (Joyce), Lakeville, NS,
sisters; Aline d’Entremont, Lower West Pubnico and Alice
(Lawrence) Amiro, Lower East Pubnico. She was predeceased by
her husband, Delphis Robert d’Entremont, brothers; Joseph
and Valois, sister; Cecile. There will be no
visitation. A Mass of Christian burial will be held
Saturday, February 4, 2023 at 11am in St. Peter’s Roman
Catholic Church, Middle West Pubnico with Fr. Cyrille Assihou
officiating. The service will be live streamed on the West
Pubnico and Cremation Services Facebook page beginning at 11am.
Interment will be in the parish cemetery. Donations in
memory may be made to the Gilles Boudreau and Friends Cancer Help Fund
or a charity of choice. On line condolences may be forwarded
to the family at westpubnicofh.com. Funeral arrangements
have been entrusted to the West Pubnico Funeral Home and Cremation
Services, Middle West Pubnico. 902 762 3407.
Mom was a very fun-loving lady. Although she was 92
years old, she was very young at heart and she was a friend for
life. She enjoyed puzzles, bingo, music and life in
general.
The family would like to thank the staff at Pont du Marais
Boarding Home who treated her like family for the past 5 years.
Susan, although you are not my blood sister, I could never
ask for a better friend and sister than you. You are always there for
me, no matter what.
Mom, I’m going to miss our daily phone calls and
our visits. Carl is going to miss teasing you.
Chicklet, your canine friend, is going to miss his
grand-mère. All the family will love you forever
and never forget you. XOXO
