Obituary
Mary Anne Seppola passed away holding both of her daughters’ hands on January 1st, 2023, in Penticton BC.
Born on February 6th, 1935, on the family farm in Saskatchewan, Mary Anne migrated west over the years through Alberta, and spent the last couple decades in British Columbia. She was predeceased by her husband Harold Seppola, and her sons Brent and Rodney. She will be remembered and sadly missed by her children, Gwen Heath, Angie Seppola (Graham Watt), and Brad Seppola; her grandchildren Tara Heath (Dylan Lyons), Stephanie Brooks (Justin Brooks), Heather Watt (Will Hardman), Duncan Watt, Callum Watt, Damond Middlestead and Haley Vicen; and her great grandchildren Daniella Brooks, Amelia Brooks, and George Hardman.
Mary Anne was known for her creativity, kindness, and loyalty. The handmade wedding dresses, prom dresses and Halloween costumes will live on in photo albums and tickle trunks. The fierce hugs and comforting hand holds will live on in our memories. If Mary Anne has any leverage from where she is now, the Blue Jays upcoming World Series win will live on in the record books.
The family would like to thank all of the staff on the 5th floor of the Penticton Regional Hospital. They saw Mary Anne for the feisty woman she was and helped give her the dignified passing she deserved. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the SOS Medical Foundation.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, January 21st at 1:30 pm at the Naramata Centre Chapel, 460 Ellis Ave, Naramata BC.
