Mary-Ann Benoit ( Malley) of Saint John NB and formerly of Beaverbrook, passed away on Sunday, January 8, 2023, at Carleton-Kirk Lodge in Saint John, at the age of 96.
Born in Newcastle, she was the daughter of Joseph and Aurelie (Allain) Malley. She worked at the Fundy Line Motel and was a member of L’Ascension Roman Catholic Church, in Beaverbrook.
She will be greatly missed by her son Felix Bennet (Jeannette) of Quispamsis; sister Anna Gauvin (Late Leo) of Fredericton; brothers Gerald Malley of Saint John, Alphonse Malley (Late Doris) of Miramichi and Alvida Malley (Emilda) of Miramichi; brother-in-law Edgar Sivret of Miramichi; three grandchildren Tammy Nadeau (Denis), Robert Bennet (Anne Marie) and Jamie Bennet; six great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Vincent Benoit; her sister Laura Sivret; and brothers Alyre Malley and Melvin Malley.
The family will receive relatives and friends from Northumberland Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 10, 2023, from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm. The funeral service will be held at Northumberland Funeral Home Chapel, on Wednesday, January 11, 2023, at 11 am, with Father John Beaumaster officiating.
