DORIS, Mary Anita (1953 Graduate of St. Joseph’s School of Nursing, Peterborough, Former Registered Nurse at St. Joseph’s Hospital and Retired after 25 years service with the Victorian Order of Nurses Canada) Passed away peacefully at St. Joseph’s at Fleming, on Monday, April 24, 2023 in her 92nd year. Beloved wife of the late Vincent Doris d. January 11, 2014. Loving mother of Chris (Cindy) Doris, Lee-Anne (Ed) Hyer, Susan (Ken) Hoar, Mary Catherine (Mike) Heffernan and Lorne Doris. Dear grandmother of James (predeceased) and Jason; Mark and Michael; Eric and Sarah; and Kaitlin (Kevin) Crowe, Elizabeth and Hannah (Andrew) DeSanto. Dear great grandmother of Ada and William. Dear aunt of many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents John and Anna Lyons (nee Culhane) and sisters Helen Lyons and Celine O’Kane (Arnold).
Visitation at DUFFUS FUNERAL HOME, 431 George Street South from 4-7 p.m. on Thursday, April 27, 2023. Funeral Mass at ST. JOSEPH’S CHURCH, DOURO on Friday, April 28, 2023 at 11 a.m. Interment at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Douro. In memory of Anita, donations to the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
