Peacefully and surrounded by her family at Andrews of Stratford on Tuesday, April 11, 2023 the death occurred of Mary “Martha” MacDonald (Leslie), of Stratford, age 83 years. Loving mother of Leslie (Christine), Gregory (Juanita), Norman (Sophie) and Brent (Jessi). Cherished grandmother of Sandy, Hugh, Jack, Gabrielle, Blake, Dylan, Stella and Lila. Sister-in-law of Zilla Leslie. Special friend to Myron Matheson. Predeceased by her parents Harry and Lauretta (MacDonald) Leslie; her husband Leonard MacDonald; her siblings Elda Whalen (Frank), Andrew (Mary), Sandy, Jack, Harold (Helen), Hugh (MaryLou), Catherine, Mathias, Aiden (Inez), Sr. Lauretta Leslie, and Gordia. Resting at Hillsboro Funeral Home, Stratford from where a visitation will be held on Friday, April 14, 2023 from 4-6 pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, April 15, 2023 from Our Lady of the Assumption Church, Stratford at 10:30 am. Interment will take place at the St. Bonaventure’s Church Cemetery, Tracadie. Memorial donations may be made online to Harbourview Training Center, Souris.
