The family of Marlene Knezacek of the Rhein district, sadly announce her passing on Sunday April 2, 2023 with her daughter by her side. She was 70 years of age. Marlene leaves to celebrate her life, her daughter Michelle Thurston (Pat), grandson Kevin Scott and Pat’s sons Kyle (Chelsea) & Jamie.
Marlene was proud of her small family, 33 years as a home care aide & keeping a beautiful farm yard. As per her wishes, there will be a private family gathering at a later date.
We thank those who shared many phone calls with mom (Monica, Verlee, Peggy & Charleen) & those who assisted with her staying on the farm as long as she could (Dean & her home care nurse Karalyn). The end of life guidance from Sheri, Tricia, Erin, John and mom’s nurse Amanda from Jowsey house, for her exceptional kindness and comfort.
In lieu of flowers, donations made payable to the Jowsey House- Yorkton & District Nursing Home, will go towards enhancing the palliative rooms where Marlene’s final days were spent.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Bailey’s Funeral & Cremation Care.
