Blüm, Mark Alyxander was found to have passed away at home on March 9th, 2023. Beloved son of Mary Patricia Blüm, Richard Lawnikanis (deceased) and step-father Duncan Black. Loving brother to Anika Blüm O’Connor (Patrick) and awesome uncle to his niece Henry and his nephew Nolan. Survived by his beloved Aunt Sharon and predeceased by his uncle Mike Blum (CFL). Mark has left us to join his mini-me nephew Finn in the afterlife. Visitation at Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 315 McLeod Street, Ottawa. Visiting hours are 4-7 pm on Friday, March 31st and 11-1 pm on Saturday, April 1st followed by a memorial service at 1pm in the chapel. Guests are invited to attend a reception after the service. A brother taken from us too soon. Mark is lovingly remembered by his Beta fraternity brothers as well as all his friends and team mates from rugby. In lieu of flowers, please plant a tree in remembrance of Mark’s love for the great outdoors. We are putting together a photo montage of Mark. I was lucky enough to enjoy a wonderful few years of my youth with Mark and have fond memories of our time together. He was funny, kind and thoughtful.
