After a brief illness, Marjorie passed away peacefully at the Brantford General Hospital on Wednesday, January 4, 2023, in her 97th year, surrounded by her loving family. Beloved wife of the late Donald. Loving mother to sons David (Elaine) and Douglas (Victoria). Nanny, loving grandmother of Alissa (Joe), Melanie (Derrick) and Ryan (Danielle) and great-grandchildren; Jacob, Maya, Caleb, Reid, Cole, Ava and Emma. Survived by her loving brother Jim Middleton (the late Donna) and predeceased by her sister Lorraine. Will also be lovingly remembered by her nieces and nephews Andrea and Bradley, Rachel and Scott, along with her long-time dear friend Susan Johnston (Norman). Marjorie was a long-time member of New Westminster Presbyterian Church. Marjorie spent the last few years living with Dave and Elaine in Port Dover. She loved living in her own special apartment in their home, and she was very grateful to spend her remaining years in their love and care. Marjorie took interest in many activities such as attending theatre, spending time in nature, knitting, as well as, being an avid reader. Her book club ladies will miss her intelligence, wit, wisdom and meaningful discussions. Marjorie lived a vibrant life until the end, making many wonderful memories with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a thoughtful woman who left her imprint on the lives of everyone she connected with, extending her care and concern through attentive conversation. Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Marjorie’s Life will be held at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek, on Friday, May 5, 2023 at 11 a.m. Interment to follow at Hamilton Cemetery.
