Marion Leong of Calgary, AB, passed away on Sunday, April 9, 2023, at the age of 72 years.
Marion married Cecil Leong in 1982. She accomplished much through her life and was particularly proud of her employment at the Calgary Convention Centre.
Marion enjoyed camping, travelling with her husband, and nestling in with a good Danielle Steel novel. Her most memorable vacation was when she cruised the Panama Canal and Tahiti Islands.
Marion will be most remembered for her motherly love, devotion and care for her children.
Besides Cecil, her loving husband of 40 years, Marion is survived by her daughters, Pamela (Michael) Gilbert of Carstairs, and Christine Cartier of Kelowna, son Michael Cartier of Calgary, brother Ronald Pearn of Calgary, sisters, Linda Hermann of Bow Island, Margaret Molyneux (Alan) of Langdon, Donna (Ernie) Weber of Foothills, Debbie Drake-Horn (George Horn) of Calgary, Brenda (Ralph) Hoefling of Calgary, and Florence Campbell of Calgary; and three grandchildren, Rachelle Gilbert (partner Cody) of Bon Accord, Celine Gilbert of Lethbridge and Daniel Gilbert of Carstairs; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Marion was predeceased by her Parents Lorna Ronenberg and Wallace Pearn; sister and brother-in-law Elizabeth and Joe Trembecki and brother-in-law Nick Hermann, and Nephew Jeff Daniluck
Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at McInnis & Holloway (Deerfoot South, 12281 – 40th Street SE, Calgary, AB) on Monday, April 24, 2023, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Funeral Services will be held at McInnis & Holloway (Deerfoot South, 12281 – 40th Street SE, Calgary, AB) on Tuesday, April 25, 2023, at 2:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Reception to follow in the Hospitality Centre at the Funeral Home. Condolences, memories, and photos may be shared and viewed here.
