It is with many fond memories that the family of Marion York of Lac La Biche, Alberta announce her passing on January 16, 2023 at the age of 91 years.
Marion will be forever remembered by her children: Margaret (Morris) Lamoureux, Patricia (Dennis) Halitsky, Jean Kamke, Janet (Robert) Lacey, Gary (Renee) York, Jacqueline (Ed) Grekul, Cathy (Grant) Steele, Donna (Scott) Ferguson; grandchildren: Raymond (Colinda) Lamoureux, Theresa Cardinal, Paulette Halitshy (Richard Prosper), Carmen (Doug) Evanchusky, Christopher Kamke, Alexander (Lauren) Kamke, Bobby (Aga) Kanarek, Carmella Forbes (Clint Baldwin), Karla (Holly) Caddarette, Sherrie Kanarek (Daniel Schreiner), Michael (Stacey) Kanarek, Jennifer (Casey) Patterson, Eric Johnston, Deidre (Jon) Collins, Lisa (Shawn) Beniuk, Shannon Grekul, Darren (Miranda) Grekul, Nathan (Stephanie) Rachewich, Kayla Rachkewich, Vanessa (Ryan) Mcgregor, Dylan Eby, Austin Eby; 31 great grandchildren; brothers: Herb (Karen) Barnes, Russ (Lila) Barnes; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
Marion was predeceased by her husband: Alex York; son: Donald; great grandson: Daniel; sons-in-law: Ken Kamke, Marion Kanarek; parents: Donald & Mabel; infant brother: Donald; sisters: Carol, Darlene; brother: Norman.
Funeral service: Friday, January 20, 2023 at 11:00 am at the Evangelical Free Church, Lac La Biche, Alberta.
Pallbearers: Raymond Lamoureux, Michael Kanarek, Christopher Kamke, Nathan Rachkewich, Darren Grekul, Eric Johnston.
