Marion Elizabeth Hall, age 95, of Stratford, passed away peacefully at Stratford General Hospital on Sunday, January 22, 2023. Born in Stratford, February 1, 1927, daughter of the late Clayton and Salome (Brenneman) Zehr. Predeceased by her loving husband Leon “Pee Wee” Hall on Sept 22, 2007. Loved mother of Terry (Julie) Hall, Myra (Dan) Smith, Lynn Knight (Ted Killer), Mark Hall (Carolyn Drummond) and Sean (Jackie) Hall. Proud grandmother of Crystal Hall, Michael Hall (Jody), Jennifer Smith, Tyler Smith (Beckie), Sarah Knight (John), Corey Knight, Jeremy Hall (Robyn), Josh Hall, Marissa Hall (Tyler), Jack Rankin, Mac Rankin, Charlie Rankin, Noah Rankin, Nathan Hall, Tyson Hall, Jacob Hall, Rylan Hall and her 13 great grandchildren. Marion will be fondly remembered by her sister Rita Chandler, along with the entire Zehr and Hall families and her many nieces and nephews. Mom had an extraordinary life; she made her own decisions right up to the end. Marion was a long-time member of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church and a CWL member for over 45 years. Mom loved to participate in all of the activities at Anne Hathaway Residence, but especially scrabble and was known as the “scrabble queen” The family would like to sincerely thank all the wonderful staff at Anne Hathaway Retirement Residence, especially Betty and Jody as well as Dr. Peter Brooks for his compassionate care. Besides her husband and her parents, Marion was predeceased by her brother-in-law Bill Chandler, her sister Beatrice (Pat) Cassidy and her brother Ron Zehr and her son-in-law Steve Knight. Family and friends are invited to Marion’s visitation at the W. G. Young Funeral Home, 430 Huron St, Stratford, on Thursday, January 26, 2023 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Marion’s Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Friday, January 27, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, 96 Huron St, Stratford. Interment will take place following the Mass in Avondale Cemetery. Luncheon will take place following the interment in the Church Parish Hall.
