Marigold’s Obituary
It is with heavy hearts the family of Marigold Florence Burden announce her passing at home with her family by her side, at the age of 91 years, on July 6th,2023. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her husband of 70 years Charles Burden. Her children; Perry (Donna), Judy (George), Juanita (Randy), Debbie (Tom) and Marsha (Stan). Her grandchildren; Craig (Stephanie), Stephen (Iris), Chad (Rebecca), Kayla (Troy), Oliver (Kara) and her special grandson Erik (Sara). Great grandchildren Sasha (Eric), Breanna (Shy), Joshua (Alexis), Ashton, Charlie, Taylor, Sydney, Noah, Ava, Mason, Caleb, Max and Reid. Great-great grandchildren; Jack, Noah and Wren. She also leaves to mourn her brother Milton (Margie), sister-law Gloria, brother-in-law Sydney and her special nephew Don (Marie), family friend Andrew Chyla, her dear friend and neighbor Norma and the Angel who came into mom’s and dad’s life 6 years ago and has become a part of our family Lisa (John) and many nephews, nieces and friends.
Marigold was predeceased by her parents Hayward and Lillian Burden, her parents-in-law Joshua and Patience Burden, her siblings Bessie, Amos (Blanche), Valerie (Steven), Donald (Minnie), Douglas, Ralph (Jean), Emma (Joseph), her siblings-in-law; Mahalia, Herman (Hannah), Ella, Roland (Dulcie), Clarence (Neil), Mary (Roland, Millicent, Gladys (Frederick) Gordon, Patricia and her son-in-law Lloyd (Junior) Roberts.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Nurse Melinda, NP Michelle and her exceptional workers; Angela, Jackie and Linda. Paramedics Rochelle and Jacqueline.
In keeping with Marigold’s wishes cremation has taken place. There will be a visitation for family and friends at Shoal Brook United Church on Monday, July 10th,2023 from the hours of 2-4 and 6:30-8 pm where also the Celebration of Life will take place on Tuesday, July 11th,2023 at 2 pm with Rev. Larry Noseworthy officiating. For those unable to attend the funeral service it can be viewed on our face book page at parsons funeral home (deer lake).
Flowers are gracefully accepted or donations can be made to the Bonna Bay Health Centre, Norris Point in her memory.
