Cherished wife of her deceased husband Greg, loving mother of Jeff, Warren, and Lauralyn, caring mother-in-law to Rhonda, Joann, and Christopher (who passed in 2021), very special Grandma to Kerri-Lynn (Paul Dever), Tara (Zach Lentz), and Maia, and Great Grandma to little Lucas and little Sophia. Loving sister to Ron (Alannah), Dan (Theresa), Cheryl, David, her deceased brother Larry, and loving sister-in-law to the large McIntyre clan. Caring aunt to many nieces and nephews with whom she shared so many special moments in time.
Marion lived life to the very fullest right to her passing. She so loved her family, extended family and friends and was that person who found much joy welcoming new friends, and listening to, helping and comforting whoever came her way. As Mom and Dad moved to various cities for Dad’s work in the 1970s and 1980s, Mom navigated new communities for the family and stayed home to look after her kids until high school. She then worked as an administrative assistant for a physician in Toronto for many years. Tennis was Marion’s major passion for many decades. She played in Tenaga during the summer and then throughout the year in ‘tennis bubbles’. She followed professional tennis on TV and enthusiastically cheered on her favourite players! Marion was always up for a party and loved to entertain and share her incredible home cooking. She was full of passion and always had that joy-mischief twinkle in her eye that we all have as a memory of her.
A service in Marion’s honour will be held at St. Stephen’s Parish in Chelsea, Quebec on Friday, September 22nd at 11am. Interment to follow in Parish cemetery then please join us for a reception at Village Dunnd’s , 11 Notch Road, Chelsea (819-827-3866) for refreshments and conversation.
For those wishing, in lieu of sending flowers, donations may be made in Marion’s honour to the Canadian Cancer Society.
