Marie Daviduck, age 80, of Spruce Grove, passed away peacefully at home in her sleep on July 22, 2023.
She is predeceased by her husband, her parents, sister Jean, and Lloyd’s parents.
Daughter to Annette and Mario Negro, Marie was born and raised in Edmonton. She was a sister to Betty and Jean. Marie married Lloyd in the year 1962, and lost him too soon to cancer in 2007. She was a mother to sons Brent (Irene), and Wayne (Angela), and was ‘Gammy’ or ‘Grandma Marie’ to Khan, Megan, Nicholas, Quinn, Sefra, and Shilah. She was extremely proud of them and their accomplishments.
She was able to keep a watchful, loving eye on her children while employed as a school secretary while her boys were in grade school. She went on to self employment in Crossfield owning and managing a convenience store once her boys moved away from home.
Marie enjoyed spending time with the boys and spent time with her grandchildren going to the zoo, the science centre, Callaway Park, and Drumheller. She loved to bake ice cream pails full of Christmas cookies, butter tarts, and other Christmas treats. Her bold personality, infectious energy, pranks, love of crafts, and fun loving spirit always made birthdays and holidays special events.
She will be missed by all who knew her.
The family would like to thank her family doctor, Dr. Horney, for the exceptional care he provided Marie over the years.
Cremation has taken place and a funeral will not be held as per her wishes.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider donating to the Canadian Cancer Society in her name.
Arrangements entrusted to Connelly-McKinley St. Albert Funeral Home.
