Peacefully at Lakeridge Health Bowmanville on August 27, 2023, at the age of 62.
Beloved mother of Michelle (Allan), Michael, and Daniel. Cherished Grandmother of Owen and Taylor. Dear sister or Patti and Ed. Predeceased by her parents Vernon and Barbara, and brother Douglas. Lovingly remembered by her many nieces, nephews, extended family, friends, and those that had the pleasure of knowing her. Marie will always be remembered for her love of gardening, spending time baking with her Grandkids, and ger love of being at the family cottage on Maple Lake. A Special thank you to the staff of Lakeridge Health Bowmanville for their exceptional care and compassion. Marie was a strong, independent woman and her children were always greeted with joy. She was always there for everyone with a willing ear to listen, offer advise, and a willingness to step in and help wherever she was needed.
A celebration of Life visitation will be held at the DeStefano Funeral Home 1289 Keith Ross Drive in Oshawa (905) 440 3595 on Wednesday September 6th from 6:00pm to 8:00pm. In Lieu of flowers, please consider donating to a local Animal Shelter in memory of Marie and her love for animals.
