ANDREWS: MARIAN PEAR;
Marian Pearl Andrews (Nee Wilson) passed away peacefully in her sleep with her daughter and granddaughter at her side at Huronview Home for the Aged in Clinton, Ontario, in her 96th year.
Marian was born in Brucefield, Ontario on December 12, 1927 to Lorne and Jean Wilson. She was the sixth of 9 children. Growing up in a busy farm home, she was always the go to for any child minding, as she preferred life with a baby in her arms (a characteristic she has passed down to Mary Ellen and many others). At 17, she met Doug Andrews and married him just 6 weeks later, 3 days after her 18th birthday. They were married for 72 years and created a large family and many incredible memories and traditions. They lived in Clinton, Ilderton and London before returning to retire at Huronview apartments. They travelled to many different places during their marriage and were always there to help move a grandchild away to school or attend sporting events. Marian was a 50 year member of the Legion Ladies Auxiliary and the Rebecca Lodge. She sang in the church choir at Wesley Willis and Ilderton, sang at weddings and sang countless babies to sleep in her lifetime. She was an avid reader and we thank the Clinton Public Library for keeping up with her! She was an incredible knitter and we all benefitted from years of gorgeous, one of a kind sweaters. She stayed true to the Toronto Blue Jays and Maple Leafs, coaching them from her recliner. Marian was a kind and gentle soul and will be missed by so many.
Celebrating Marian’s life are her children Mary Ellen and Bob Pearson of Sarnia, Charles and Janet Andrews of Conestogo Lake and Robert and Debbie Andrews of Ilderton. Lovingly remembered by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Dean (Jen) Pearson (Julia and Ethan), Diana Pearson (Michael Krawetz) (Zachary, Nathan, Kingston, Charlotte, Oakley), Jennifer Andrews-Coffey(Pete)(Nolan, Kira, Frank, Cale, Barrett, Robbie), Jeffrey Andrews (Jack and Max), Matthew Andrews (Cindy) (Noah, Charleigh, Georgia), Kelly Marsh (Darryl), Kerri Dixon (Andrew) (Mya, Brooke, Liam), Christopher Andrews (Kim) (Mason, Halle and newest baby for great grandma to snuggle, Taylor).
Marian is also survived by brother Stuart (Joyce) Wilson and in laws Richard (Jan), and Lois Andrews, and is a beloved aunt to many nieces and nephews
She was predeceased by her husband of 72 years Doug, Siblings Dorothy (Ray) Mason, Evelyn (Charlie) Merrill, WD (Doris) Wilson, Scotty (Eva, Anna) Wilson, Hazel (Roy) McGonigle, Ethel (Jim) Devereaux, Madeline (Walter) Bain and in laws Mary (Bill) Murch, Ruth (Art) Griffiths, Norma (Bob) Draper, Gene (Grant) Rath, Homer (Burnie) Andrews, Oz (Alice) Andrews, Bill Andrews, Joyce (Grover) Clare.
