It is with profound sadness we announce the passing of Maria at St. Joseph’s Hospital on December 31, 2022 at the age of 86. Predeceased by her parents Jacinto and Elena Sousa. Beloved mother of Paul (Mary-Lou), Helena (Armando), Tiberio(Ty), and Bill (Steph). loving grandmother to Kimberly (Jeff), Steven (Debbie), Ashley (Josh), Sandi (Randy), Melissa, Joshua, and Tiana (David). Dear great grandmother of Theodore, Trystan, Lincoln, Charlee, Kacen, Elijah, Harley, and Nova. She will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins and friends in Portugal, Canada. Visitation will be held at Friscolanti Funeral Chapel (43 Barton Street East) on Tuesday January 3rd, 2022 from 2-4 pm & 6-8 pm. A funeral mass will be held at St. Mary’s Parish on Wednesday January 4th, 2022 at 10 am. Internment will follow at Burlington Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers donations to Canadian Alzheimer’s society would be greatly appreciated by the family.
