It is with great sadness we announce the peaceful passing of our dear mother and grandmother Margaret Violet Bennett nee May, at the age of 90 years and 8 months of Deer Lake, formally Cormack. At the Western Memorial Regional Hospital, in Corner Brook, NL, on Saturday, September 16th, 2023.
She will be sadly missed and forever remembered by her children: Elaine Cullihall – Medicine Hat Alberta, Daisy (Melvin Chaulk) – Deer Lake, Norma Hickman – Gravenhurst Ontario, Valda (Gilbert Stead) – Lindsay Ontario, Tony (Carol) – Cormack, Bill (Karen) – Cormack Cliff (Tara) – Cormack, Jamie (Veronica) – Reidsville
22 grandchildren: Darren, Deanna, Brendan, Kelly, Bryan, Kandy, Sarah, Samanth, Neila, Dylan, Amanda, Billy, Joshua, Jacob, Jenna, Sarah, Lydia, Abigail, Isabelle,23 great grandchildren, 1 great great granddaughter, 1 living sibling, her brother Charlie May (Sheila) – Corner Brook.
Margaret was pre-deceased by her husband of 64 years, John James Bennett (2015), baby Ernest, parents Charles and Beatrice May, parents in law James and Ethel Bennett and Amanda Loader Bennett, Brother Raymond, Sisters Laura, Myrtle, Mabel, Florence and Gladys and son-in-law Carl Cullihall.
The family will be having a private viewing for family only. The funeral service will take place on Wednesday, September 20th, 2023, at 2:00 pm, at Parsons Funeral Home & Chapel, 63 North Main Street, Deer Lake, NL, with Pastor: Jeffrey White officiating, with the interment to follow at the family plot at the Pentecostal Church Cemetery, in Cormack, NL.
