It is with deep sadness we announce the
passing of Margaret Lorraine Brooks, age
86, of London, Ontario formerly of Amherst, NS. Lorraine passed away
at Dearness Home, London, Ontario on Wednesday, March 25,
2020.
Born in Amherst, NS she was a daughter
of the late Emerson and Gwendolyn (Hardie) Bentley.
In her earlier years she was active in
curling and darts in Ontario. She was a former member of the Royal
Canadian Legion Auxiliary and played on the Amherst Legion Dart Team.
She was an active member of the Elmtree and the Legion Cribbage
players.
She is survived by her sons, Bruce
(Tammy) of London, Ontario, and Stephen of St.Thomas, Ontario; and
grandchildren, JD, Miranda & Caitlyn, as well as
great-grandchildren, Hayley, Allie and Jysella.
Besides her parents she was predeceased
by her husband Bradford.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the
Jones Family Funeral Centre, 70 Church
St., Amherst, NS (902-667-8777). Cremation has taken place
in London, Ontario. A graveside service will take place on
Wednesday, September 6, 2023 at 2:00pm at the Amherst
Cemetery.
