She attended the University of Windsor and graduated with honors with a B.A in International relations. She entered the Diplomatic Corps and served in Tunisia and positions in Ottawa. She married an American Diplomat and accompanied him to Thailand, Botswana and Turkey. Margaret had two children Rebecca and Trip. Upon her husband’s retirement, they settled in Brockville, Ontario.
Margaret was active in community affairs and served as a board member of the Brockville Museum.
She is survived by her husband Sandy, a daughter Rebecca (Lee), son Trip (Rhiannon), as well as two brothers William (Sarah) and David (Cyndi).
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 5, 2023 1:00pm – 2:00pm. A private funeral service and interment will be held for the family.
If friends so desire donations in Margaret’s memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society and will be greatly appreciated by the family.
