EDMONDS, Margaret Miller
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Margaret Miller Edmonds, in her 82nd year, on Saturday, February 25, 2023, at the Peterborough Regional Health Centre. Surrounded by her loving family, she passed peacefully.
Margaret was the devoted wife of Bill of 60 years, the supporting mother to Deborah and Bill, and the ever-loving Grandmother of Cassandra, Alexandra and Damion.
Margaret was born April 6, 1940 in Edinborough, Scotland. She came into to the world at 1.5 lbs, during the war. Her Granny carried her around on a small pillow. Being underdeveloped she was never to have survived, but Margaret was a fighter. She fought Emphysema, bouts of Pleurisy and Pneumonia all through her adult life. Later she developed Ovarian Cancer, but she fought through that. She was a true Red Headed Scot, never giving up. Sadly, she faced her last fight, suffering a heart attack. This time the fight took her.
The family would like to extend a very special thank you to Dr. McMillan and ICU nursing staff at Peterborough Regional Health Centre.
Margaret will be cremated and a Celebration of Life will be planned for early Summer.
We thank everyone for the warm caring, well wishes.
Margaret was a One-Of-A-Kind-Scot, and will be greatly missed.
