Mrs. Margaret Ann Smith of LaSalette, passed away at the Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital , on Monday, July 31, 2023 in her 84th year. Margaret was a life-long Member and Past President of Our Lady of LaSalette’s Catholic Women’s League. She had many hobbies and her knitting, sewing, crafts and ceramics were beautiful. Former Margaret Ann McCombs. Beloved wife of the Late James Smith (2007). Loving mother of Laurie Smith, Rick Smith (Patty) and Cindy Smith. Also survived by several nieces, nephews and in-laws. Predeceased by her son Robert Smith (2018), and by her parents: Stanley (1965) & Veronica (O’Brien) McCombs (1985) and by her four siblings: Ray McCombs (2007), Helen Nold (1988) (Late Ed 1985), Ruth Wavell (2003) (Late Pete 1995) and Rudy McCombs (1983). Friends may call at the MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, Delhi (519) 582-1290 (www.mfh.care) for visitation on Friday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady, Queen of Martyrs Roman Catholic Church, Delhi on Saturday, August 5, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. Interment in Our Lady of LaSalette R.C. Cemetery. Donations to the LaSalette Area Rural Roots (Church) will be gratefully appreciated by the family.
