Obituary For Margaret “Annette” Huber (nee Fraser)
On Thursday, July 6, 2023, Annette Huber passed away peacefully with family in St. Mary’s Hospital in Camrose, AB, at the age of 94 years. Annette was a very loved mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend.
Annette was born on February 13, 1929, and was raised on the family farm in Teepee Creek, AB. In 1952, she married Gilbert Huber and they raised a family of 6 in Grande Prairie, AB. She loved to read, knit (especially beautiful sweaters), teach, travel, and especially square and round dance with Gilbert.
Annette leaves behind her brother Leslie (Adele) Fraser; sister Irene (Bill) Love; and several brothers and sisters in-law. She is also survived by her 6 children: Joannie (Ron) Zimmer, Brian Huber, Wayne Huber, Dean (Carol) Huber, Lois (Mark) Kurlovich, and Don (Jennifer) Huber; 10 grandchildren; as well as 8 great-grandchildren.
Annette was predeceased by her husband Gilbert; her parents Margaret and Donald Fraser; as well as daughter in-law Brenda Huber.
A Celebration of Annette’s Life will be held on Saturday, August 26, 2023, at 11:00am, at Oliver’s Funeral Home in Grande Prairie (10005 107 Ave.).
Memorial donations may be made in Annette’s memory to Canadian National Institute for the Blind (Suite 600, 11150 Jasper Avenue, Edmonton, AB, T5K 0C7).
