Peacefully at Chatham-Kent Hospice, Marc Emerson Roszell, 77, passed away on Wednesday, January 25th, 2023, surrounded by family. Born to his parents, the late George and Anna (Smith) Roszell in Chatham on December 27th, 1945.
Adoring husband of over 53 years to Margaret (Giblin).
Loving father of Sheri and husband Stephen Jahns; Jennifer and husband Harish Pawagi; and Tim and wife Trish Hamilton. Proud and beloved
Grandpa to Tayla and Danica Pawagi, Liam Jahns, Emerson Roszell, and Allison and Lauren Dykeman.
“Younger” twin brother to Marcia and husband Tom Colborne; big brother to Lynne and her husband Dennis Jubenville; brother-in-law to Tom and Carmel Giblin.
Uncle to several nieces and nephews.
Relative to a growing number of people he discovered through out his genealogical adventures. Special friend to very many. Predeceased by his parents, parents-in-law Tim & Rose Giblin, and sister-in-law Mary Giblin.
Marc was a husband, brother, father, grandfather, uncle, friend, and farmer. He farmed proudly his entire life on the Century Farm on the River Road in Raleigh Township. Marc was a 1969 OAC graduate at the University of Guelph, past president of the Kent Federation of Agriculture (KFA) and past director of the Ontario Corn Producers Association (OCPA). Marc was active in politics and agricultural causes and was always up for a good chat.
Family to receive friends on Monday, January 30, 2023 from 1:00 – 4:00 pm & 6:00 – 8:00 pm at the Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham. A Funeral to celebrate Marc’s life will be held at 11:00am on Tuesday at the Funeral Home.
Donations can be made in Marc’s memory to London Health Sciences Foundation – Multiple Myeloma Research, the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance Foundation Oncology Unit, and Chatham-Kent Hospice Foundation.
