Rangongo, Manko Felicitas (Tsepane)
August 31st, 1933 – May 17th, 2023
Died peacefully at home with her family by her side in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada in the evening of May 18th, 2023. Manko, in her 90th year, beloved wife of the late Mabela Percy Job Rangongo for 61 years. Loving mother of Monica, Timothy Tabana and Linda Rachel. Devoted Grandmother to Keshia Rangongo Gomes (Marvin Gomes) and Great-grandmother to Sodeneka Alexia Gomes and Elijah Tumelo Gomes. Dear daughter of Sebolai Julius Tsepane and Matumahole Theresa Tsepane. Dear sister of the late Tumahole Tsepane and Malika Nkuebe. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Born in Leribe in the Kingdom of Lesotho in 1933. After completing her undergraduate studies, Manko emigrated to the United States with her husband Mabela where she completed graduate studies in education and psychology at Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She then moved on to Montreal, Quebec, Canada with husband and new born daughter Monica and began her career teaching elementary school. Manko went on to teach in Montreal, Ottawa and N.W.T, eventually returning to Ottawa where she taught ESL at the Public Service Commission, eventually retiring as a director, and
then went on to teach in the University of Ottawa’s ESL program.
A funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Clement Parish at St. Anne’s Church, 528 Old St. Patrick Street, Ottawa on Friday, May 26, 2023 at 11am.
