At her residence on Sunday June 25th, 2023, Mrs. Madeline Moss of Chatham passed away in her 83rd year. Cherished daughter of the late William and Ida Huffman. Beloved wife of the late Gordon (1994). Loving mother of Christin Moss (John Hierlihy) of Toronto, and Caresse LeBlanc (Chris) of Hamilton. Proud grandma of Aiden, Charlotte, Quinton, Cole, Connor (Nicole), Griffin and great grandma of Violet. Maddie will be missed by her beloved dog Stella. Predeceased by her son Cameron and daughter Candiss Smeenk.
Madeline Moss lived nearly all her life in Chatham-Kent. She was passionate about her work, and made life long friends everywhere she went. She was always involved in the community through her work at the radio station as well as her volunteer work with Crime Stoppers. She was adored by her family, and liked nothing more than having everyone together for a meal. She was a phenomenal cook and was well known for her homemade desserts. She loved dogs, shopping, and a good laugh. She was a continuous source of warmth and comfort to those around her, even in the hardest of times. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
Family and friends are invited to the Alexander & Houle Funeral Home, 245 Wellington West, Chatham, 519-352-2710 on Wednesday June 28th, 2023, with visiting from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm. The funeral service will be conducted from the chapel of the funeral home on Thursday June 29th, 2023, at 1 pm with Pastor Brad Morrison officiating. Interment Maple Leaf Cemetery, Chatham.
