Madeleine, daughter of Francis and Marcelle, was born in Castor April 5, 1928, the 3rd of 4 siblings: Odette, Francis and Paulette. She was raised on a farm, was kept busy helping with chores. Madeleine moved to BC where she had her children and returned back to Alberta to raise them and be close to her family. Mom was a hard worker, caring, loving person who opened up our home to care for many foster children.
Mom enjoyed being an active member of Lady of Rosary Parish (where she prepared church for many services) for several years, Golden Circle where she enjoyed floor discing and other activities, Casino Bus Tours, Volunteer at Castor Museum, babysitting, playing Canasta & other card games. Later she moved to Lacombe to be closer to her grandchildren.
Special thanks to Castor Long Term Care Staff, Royal Oak MCC Staff in Lacombe, Dr Olivia, Dr Smit, Lacombe Hospital – Unit A, Unit B, Dr Jane Afulukwe and other Medical Doctors, for helping to make this difficult time more comfortable to bear.
Predeceased by her father Francis, sister Odette, mother Marcelle, brother Francis and sister Paulette; Madeleine is survived by daughters: Marcelle (Walter) Maki, Annette (Brian) Gilroy and Corey (Tom) Bibaud; grandchildren: Kelsey (Rob) Senior, Justine Brown (Anthony Reno), Kelli Gilroy, Ryker, Brooke, Cody, Riley Bibaud and Matt Maki; great grandchildren: Braiden Senior, Corbin Senior and River Maki; nephew Lee (Tara) Jaboeuf; great niece/nephew: Rebecca, Samantha & Gabriel Jaboeuf.
Following the graveside service family and friends are invited to Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church parish hall for a time of fellowship and luncheon.
