On July 16th, 2023, Lynda passed away peacefully at the age of 79. She is now reunited with her husband Lawrence Joseph Hadubiak (2000). Lynda will be deeply missed by her son David (Cathy), her daughter Donna Kurc (Derek) and her grandchildren Derek, Megan, Emily (Hadubiak) and Taylor and Justin (Kurc). She is predeceased by her brother Bruce Taylor (2022) and mother Laura Mae Taylor (1995) and will be missed by many other family members.
The family wishes to thank Dr. Yaron Shargall and his team at St. Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton and Dr. Yasodhara Kancherla and her team at Joseph Brant Hospital in Burlington for their support. As well, the Personal Support Workers (Sandy, Karen, Anne-Marie) from Integrity Nursing Healthcare, LHIN Home Care & Community Services and VIVA Retirement Assisted Living 2nd floor for all their support and dedication during a difficult time.
Lynda also leaves behind many wonderful friends from Rexway Drive, Tansley Woods in Burlington, and the VIVA Retirement Community in Oakville.
A sports enthusiast, Lynda loved watching her children and grandchildren play or participant in their various sports or activities. You could always hear her cheering them on from the stands and if it was a hockey game, the goat and cow bells would be ringing. She also loved watching the Blue Jays, she would call family members several times during the game to ensure they knew how the Jays were doing. Just in case we wanted to watch
A loving, compassionate, caring, selfless and very independent woman. She was full of energy and enjoyed life from her Happy Hour sessions with the Golden Girls (as the family called them), the gang at the VIVA Retirement Community who would meet in The Pints Bar, to the travels with many friends.
Mom, you will be missed dearly but our memories of you will live on.
Visitation at SMITH’S FUNERAL HOME, 1167 Guelph Line (one stop light north of QEW), BURLINGTON (905-632-3333), on Friday, July 21, 2023 from 3-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Saturday, July 22, 2023 at 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Joseph’s Hamilton Healthcare , Joseph Brant Hospital or Ontario SCPA and Humane Society www.smithsfh.com
