The family announces with great sorrow her passing at the Timmins and District Hospital on Thursday, June 15, 2023 at the age of 83 years. Beloved wife of Adam Lévis of Timmins. Loving mother of Carole (Dave) of Aylmer, QC., Nicole (Peggy) of Ottawa and Daniel (Monique) of Timmins. Cherished grandmother of France, Chantale, Phillippe, Alexandre and Céleste, and great grandmother of Malik, Lina, Jackson, London, Samuel and Isabelle. Also left to mourn is her brother Rhéal Larche (Claudette) of Owen Sound. Lorraine was predeceased by her parents Sonny and Donatilde Larche, her sisters Anita Peters, Pauline Matheson and Colette Cloutier and her brother Gérald Larche.
Lorraine grew up in Timmins and it is here she met Adam, the love of her life. They worked side by side, moving to Elliot Lake where they excelled in the grocery business. The love of family brought them back to Timmins in retirement to make the best memories both in their home and at the cottage on Kenogamissi lake with friends, family, but mostly her grandchildren. Lorraine loved travelling, laughing, playing tricks and just excelled in making all those around her feel special and loved. She will be remembered for her loving spirit, her kindness, her faith and her indomitable strength. Her laughter and silly songs will ring forever in the ears of her grandchildren, great grandchildren and family.
Funeral Mass will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, June 19, 2023 from the Notre-Dame-De-La-Paix Church (Fr. Richard Ngoy officiating). A reception will follow in the Miron-Wilson Reception Lounge. Remembrance donations to Timmins and District Hospital Foundation would be greatly appreciated. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until 12:45 p.m. on Monday, June 19, 2023 at the MIRON-WILSON FUNERAL HOME, Cremation and Reception Centre, 150 Balsam St. S., Timmins.
