On Thursday, July 27th, 2023 at his home in Prescott, Lorne peacefully entered into rest at the age of 61 years. Lorne Veley beloved Husband of Christine Veley (nee Gallinger). Dear Father of Krissy Murdock (Lawrence), Shannon Bolton and Brittney Veley (Sheldon Golledge). Cherished Grandfather of Lucas Baker, Dylan Murdock, Jamie Daley and Ben Daley. Brother of Dorothy Baker (Shawn), Donna VanDodewaard (Eric), Debbie VanDodewaard, Paula Veley, Judy Colligan (Tom), Jamie Veley and Scott Veley (Jody). He was predeceased by his brother Clarence Veley (Shirley) and by his sister Elizabeth “Bunny” Kelly. Lorne is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
A Graveside service will be held in Prescott Cemetery 975 Edward St. North Prescott, ON K0E 1T0 on Tuesday, August 1st, 2023 at 11:00 am, with a Celebration of Life to follow at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 97, 141 Henry St. West, Prescott from 1-3 PM.
