It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Lorne Suchan on Monday July 17th, 2023. Lorne was predeceased by his wife Ella Suchan and son Brad Suchan, leaves behind his daughter Stephanie Suchan, son in-law Drew Rowe, grandsons Sullivan and Finn Rowe and Riley Kowalyshyn and several brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews and friends.
Lorne was born on September 15, 1947 in Humboldt Saskatchewan. He was raised on a farm nearby with his nine siblings by the late Mike and Hedwig Suchan. After high school Lorne went to Toronto for his brother Ray’s wedding where he would stay and years later marry Ella and have their two children. The family moved to Regina in 1990.
Lorne was an amazing caretaker for his wife and son, always putting his family first. He was always involved in the kids sports and would later join the poker league with Brad. He was an avid sports fan, he had season tickets to the Riders for many years and always loved going to the curling or hockey game. He also loved music and going to concerts whenever possible.
Lorne had a larger than life personality, always making friends wherever he went.
He was an extraordinary father, father in law, grandfather aka Papa Santa, brother, uncle, and friend and will be dearly missed by all.
Lorne will be cremated and a private celebration of life will be held at a future date.
