Lorne Barichello, age 81 passed away in hospital with family by his side on January 12, 2023. Born and raised in Fort William he was the second son to Aldo and Palmira Barichello. He attended St. Patrick High School and following his education, worked as an apprentice at the Chronicle Journal, later becoming a Printer. In later years he worked at the Government building on Cumberland St as a data entry representative handling birth and death certificates.
Lorne’s favourite hobbies were his afternoon naps (he always said the bed was calling him), doing his daily crossword puzzles and reading. He also loved to cook, bake and watch the Bluejays.
Survived by his wife Dian and brothers Allan (Lily), Ken (John), and Peter. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Predeceased by his father Aldo and mother Palmira.
With respect to Lorne’s wishes no services will be held. Interment will take place at a later date.
