It is with love and sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Lonnie March 4th at the age of 52 years.
He will be lovingly remembered by his wife Lise, daughters Breanne (Caleb) and Kylie, parents Mike and Patsy, sister Robin (Brian), parents in law Paul and Suzanne, brother in-law Louis (Monique), nephew Griffin as well as many aunts, cousins, friends, and dog Bella. He is predeceased by his brother Kevin Denis, Auntie Christie Solinski, aunts, uncles, grandparents and friends.
Also left to mourn is lifelong friend Allan and special work friend Jo-Ann.
Lonnie started his life in Transcona where he went to Westview School. At the age of seven they moved out to the Pineridge Trailer Park. Lonnie then went to Dr. F.W.L Hamilton School, Robert Andrews Middle School then went on to Kildonan East Collegiate.
Lonnie worked various jobs until he started working at New Flyer Industries where he worked for the last 28 years. Lonnie spent many years working in Bench Electric then proceeded to work on the production line. He will be remembered as the guy that wore shorts at work in all seasons.
Lonnie was a homebody and loved spending time with his family.
A celebration of life will be March 18, 2023 at 1 pm at Seasons Funeral Chapel 576 Balsam Crescent, Oakbank, MB.
In honour of Lonnie please wear your favorite rock band, Jets or Bombers shirt on the day of his celebration of life.
In lieu of flowers a donation can be made in Lonnie’s honour to the charity of your choice.
