LANGOHR, Lois Audrey (Taverner) (November 26, 1950 – August 16, 2023)
It is with sadness that we the family announce the peaceful passing of our much-loved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, Lois Audrey (Taverner) Langohr, after a courageous struggle with illness, on August 16th, 2023, at LHSC – University Hospital, London, in her 73rd year. Lois was born in Toronto, to the late Edward and Audrey (Wort) Taverner. Lois is lovingly remembered by her husband of 29 years, James (Jim) Langohr, of Woodstock. Also survived by her children Jeff (Mel) Scott, of Simcoe and their children Juan Lau and Tina Scott; Jody (Chris) Howe, of Tillsonburg and their children Owen, Liam, and Emily. Also survived by several in-laws and cousins. Lois is lovingly remembered for her colourful nature and dedication to her family. She enjoyed spending time in St. Williams, at the trailer and boating with family and friends. In her working years, Lois was an office worker with the C.C.A.C. and she enjoyed spending time volunteering as a ‘pack leader’ with the Cub Scouts, while living in Toronto.
All relatives, friends, and neighbours are invited to attend public visitation, to be held on Friday, August 18th, 2023, between 7:00 and 9:00 p.m. and on Saturday, August 19th, 2023, between 12:00 noon and 1:00 p.m. in the Maurice J. Verhoeve Funeral Homes- Burial and Cremation Services Inc. Chapel, 262 Broadway, Tillsonburg. A funeral service to remember and celebrate Lois’ life will take place on Saturday, August 19th, at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel, by Pastor Karl Allen. Cremation follows the funeral service.
