It is with much sadness that we announce the passing of our Ma, Mama, and Oma, Loda Leenhouts, peacefully at home on March 26, 2023. She was sharp and lucid, to her last breath. A formidable character and personality in all our lives, she loved her children, and grandchildren; was grateful for her friends. Loda was an environmental steward all her life and had a strong concern about social equality and fair treatment.
Loda was predeceased by her husband, Bill (Willem); and grandson, Patrick.
A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, May 27, 2023, 2:00 pm in the Lloyd Memorial Centre, Community Hall, 29 Main Street, Kingsport. For those wishing to remember Loda with a gift, she would have loved a donation to Doctors Without Borders Canada/Médecins Sans Frontières Canada . She also loved flowers, so if you prefer to send flowers, we welcome them in time for the celebration on May 27, 2023, for appreciation by her family in attendance. Flowers may be received at:
